Valentines, Opa and Oma visit, and Trey is 5!

Here are my cute little Valentines!
Lily is ready for ballet--thanks Hanna for helping and teaching her.

Oma showed how to make her famous Mocha Creme Torte.

Opa read with Trey and Lil.
Opa and our 4 went ice skating together.
Trey's castle birthday cake

Party time--we had a cardboard castle, pinned the sword in the knight's hand, and threw the big, silver ball into the dragon's flames. We also decorated our own crowns, shields, and swords.

Bryce, Trinity, Caleb, Cannon, Trey, Lily, Lydia, and Jackson

Such a happy birthday boy!
Carl and I slipped away to attend Thomas and Nicki's reception.

We ended the day with watching home videos from when Trey was born.

Snow and Worship

We recently had the blessing of going to the snow. Here we are at Lake Tahoe. It's our first time seeing it in the snow. It was such a beautiful day. Definitely an opportunity to worship the God who made the sky and earth, the blues and greens and whites!

Julia and Hanna built this cutie--they poured water over it so it froze solid and will probably still be there in May!
Carl took the girls (Maggie, Hanna, and Julia) skiing at Tahoe Donner. They had a blast! I played with the little ones in the snow back at the cabin. I worshiped while arbitrating tired kids and helping build snow/ice forts :)

Carl especially liked these comfy couches and the fire pit!

We stayed out playing in the snow until it got dark. I loved the fresh air and stillness, with twinkling stars overhead and snow crunching beneath my feet. Great time for worship!

Our annual mustard photo! The yellow mustard is beautiful...especially with the vineyards bare.
