Camping Refugio, Santa Barbara & Veteran's Memorial Park, Monterey

We got back this week from a camping "vacation" (a blast but a lot of work! with little ones). Here are some pictures...Our first stop was Refugio State Beach, north of Santa Barbara. We camped, played in the ocean, in the sand, explored, went to Solvang...definitely a fun time.

Then we headed down to Georg and Jacqueline's, after which we drove up to Monterey and spent 2 nights at Veteran's Memorial Park Campground (very nice) and went to Monterey Bay Aquarium. We enjoyed eating Fish & Chips after taking this picture--

Here is a Bonus Picture--Maggie's 8th birthday!

This particular painting won 1st and Best of Medium (acrylic) at the Sonoma County Harvest Fair this weekend.

Kasteen, that picture is beautiful. It reminds of a vineyard I visited a while back. It had a dirt road path that looked very similar. I'm glad to hear you guys had a good time on vacation. Keep up the good work with your paintings. Art is a gift from God that allows some of us to communicate things we never could otherwise. Cute pics too!
