We were excited to see snow as we drove up into the Sierras, considering it was the first snow of the season!
We drove to Lake Tahoe as the snow was stopping. It was such beautiful scenery.
After arriving at the cabin, we played outside for several hours. This was the first time the snow was sticking enough to really do some great snow people. The kids even sculpted snow.
Here are the 4 sweetest snow people!
Still time for sledding before dark.
We had hoped to use Grandpa and Grandma's Christmas money to go skiing, and this was the first day that Tahoe Donner opened for the season! It was perfect timing (thank you God) and so beautiful.
It was Trey's first time skiing. He did so well--even "spraying Mama."
Maggie enjoyed trying harder trails...and spraying me!
Carl kept busy instructing Trey and Lily.
Maggie, Trey, and Hanna are skiing down while Lily and Carl are on the ski lift.
Hanna and Maggie enjoyed skiing together, and also helped teach Trey and Lily.
